Join us at JAMsj for an evening of listening and experiencing at our 聞く(kiku) “The Blue Jay” Screening & Soundbath Event! For the second event of our Kiku Healing series, participants are invited to join us and filmmaker Marlene Shigekawa for a screening of her short film, “The Blue Jay”. Following the film screening, participants will be led through a short guided meditation before being bathed in healing sound in the energetically rich Museum space.

Participants must bring a yoga mat and/or blanket for the sound bath, and are encouraged to bring pillows or bolsters as needed to lie comfortably on the floor for approximately 45 minutes, as well as blankets for additional warmth. If you are unable to lie down or prefer to sit for the sound bath portion, please indicate on the form below to reserve a shared bench seat.

聞く (kiku) is the Japanese word meaning "to listen", but can also mean "to ask". The Kiku Healing Series is a collaboration between JAMsj and local healers to introduce various methods of healing and wellness rooted in Japanese traditions. The 聞く(kiku) Healing series seeks to engage participants in discourse around healing as individuals and as a community, cultivating deep listenings and curiosity about about what is around us and what is within us.

There are only 35 tickets for this event, $30 General and $25 for current JAMsj Members.
