JAMsj is excited to announce the upcoming launch of the AAPI Activism Oral History Project where we will be presenting a new oral history archive and engaging learning modules based on 33 video-recorded interviews with local AAPI activists, such as PJ and Roy Hirabayashi, Connie Young Yu, and Robert Ragsac. Led by the San José State University Asian American Studies program and generously funded by the County of Santa Clara, this collaboration, which began in 2021, will enrich the educational landscape and highlight the contributions and activism of the local AAPI community.
Please join us on June 1, 2024 at the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin Annex from 10:30 AM for this free event to commemorate and celebrate this exciting addition to JAMsj's educational resources! The program will include remarks by project lead Dr. Yvonne Kwan and the community advisory committee, a demonstration of the curriculum, and a reception.
